Samuel C. Tensley Jr. was a graduate of Roosevelt High School of East Chicago, IN.  From there he went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in Public and Environmental Affairs.  He worked in corporate America for 12 years before he went to work full-time for the Lord at Oasis Of Hope Baptist Church where he serves in the Male Chorus, Men’s Ministry, Sunday school and Bible Study instructor.  He also serves as a member of the Community Resurrection Partnership of Martindale-Brightwood (CRP), National Association of Church business Administrators (NACBA) and also volunteers on behalf of Oasis during the Habitat for Humanities build season.  He is the full-time Executive Pastor of Administration for Oasis of Hope.  He has a beautiful wife (Sylena) and three sons (Shaquille), (Sam III), and (Shamar).  He loves the Lord and his prayer is that everyone comes to Christ.

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"
